Adventures at work.....

Well this was one of the most interesting trips I have ever been on. It started off not the best. The first picture is our flight path. Yes we went back to SLC. Where the red arrow is on the flight path is where the pressurization system died and we started to depressurize. We were lucky because the captain declared an emergency and we started down. We were able to get low enough fast enough that we avoided the passenger oxygen masks from dropping. So we were able to avoid mass panic. Well that started our trip out on the wrong foot. We were about 4 hours late getting to our final destination that night. The next day we ended in Reno NV. The bottom picture is the next day in Reno. The visibility was so bad from the California fires that we were not sure if we would be able to get in. When we left today the visibility was only 3 miles. It also smelled like a big camp fire.

What craziness. That has to be pretty scary to almost have the air masks deploy. I guess that will be a good experience to have. The first time something happens to me I just stand/sit there and wonder what I should do.

The California fires are making the sky hazy here in Cache Valley. Not as bad as their in Reno. That would be awful. I hate the smell of camp fires.

Sounds like a bit of an adventure! I guess that is better than some other things that could have happened!

Cool. I hope the descent was fast enough to heave stomachs up into chest cavities. ;) Who needs roller-coasters? Make your own custom track in an aircraft!
